In present generation, wifi has become a basic need of human beings. So Sundar Pichai, the current CEO of techno-giant (Google) has taken an initiative to expand their versatility. This conglomerate will excel in almost every start up, except a few products being failed. Railwire, the initiative of RailTel corporation of India Ltd which provide broadband, Anti-Virus and video conferencing services. With the help of this government agency (Railwire), google established free wifi service in India.

As an initiative, this service is launched at Mumbai Central Station. With this free wifi, we can stream even HD videos without buffering. But to use this free wifi, first of all we have to register with our mobile number. The procedure to be followed is as described below.
Steps to follow to avail free wifi:
Step 1: Select the RailWire network from the available wifi networks.
Step 3: Enter your mobile number when prompted.
Step 4: Upon successful registration, OTP(One Time Pasword) will be delivered.
Step 5: Enter the OTP and upon successful verification, you are online
You can enjoy free wifi service in and around that region within the reach of wifi routers. Actually the proposed speed is around 45 mbps. But being initial stages of development, some what less speed is provided. Even then, we can stream videos of good quality without being bored at railway stations.
In the first phase of this development, this setup has to be established in atleast 100 stations by the end of this year. The overall project aim to establish this type of setup in almost 400 stations which includes major cities like Allahabad, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore. If established, it will be the largest public wifi network in the world. The project being undertaken by conglomerate like Google, we can achieve this in near future.
