The battle of the last-placed teams! The bottom-placed teams, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils take on each other at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai in an early kick-off later today. Both Delhi and Mumbai are yet to register a single win and one of the two teams will open their account later tonight.
Mumbai Indians should consider themselves unlucky as they lost both their matches in the last over of the game. In the first match against Chennai Super Kings, Dwayne Bravo snatched away a win for his team from the jaws of defeat off the penultimate ball of the match while Billy Stanlake pulled off a last-ball win for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Rohit Sharma and co.
Delhi, Daredevils, on the other hand, were completely outplayed in their first game of the season, thanks to a KL Rahul special that saw the right-hander hit the fastest IPL fifty. In the second game, they were placed in a good position against Rajasthan Royals before the rain-interrupted the game. After a brief delay, the Gautam Gambhir-led side were set a DLS target and their batsmen were unable to cross the line, resulting in their second straight loss.
Mumbai Indians are already without their star pacer Pat Cummins, who has been ruled out of the 2018 IPL due to an injury and the team management is yet to name a replacement for the Aussie. Adding to that, Hardik Pandya is injured and missed the last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad and looks like an unlikely starter for the Delhi clash. Unlike Mumbai, Delhi won’t have any injury concerns and both the teams are unlikely to make changes to their starting XI.
Let us take a look at how the teams will line up against each other.
Mumbai Indians: Rohit Sharma, Evin Lewis, Ishan Kishan, Surya Kumar Yadav, Krunal Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Ben Cutting, Jasprit Bumrah, Mayank Markande, Mustafizur Rahman and Pradeep Sangwan.
IPL 2018 Delhi Daredevils Last 11

Both the teams look equally strong on paper and it is very difficult to come to a conclusion on who will win the game. With the home advantage backing them, Mumbai Indians might go on to register their first win of the season.
