Coming from the receiving ends of two contrasting results, table-toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad takes on Kolkata Knight Riders in the match 10 of the 2018 IPL at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Kolkata, after scoring 202/6 in 20 overs, thanks to Andre Russell’s swashbuckling 88 off 36 balls, were looking good to seal the match. But, Chennai Super Kings came out all guns blazing in their first match at the Chepauk in nearly 2 years and pulled off an unbelievable last ball win, thanks to Ravindra Jadeja’s last ball six off the bowling of Vinay Kumar.
Sunrisers, on the other hand, have won both their matches in the tournament. After posting an easy win against Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers almost pulled off a great bottling job as they literally choked in a chase of 148. After the openers put on 62 for the opening wicket, the hosts kept losing wickets at regular intervals, thanks to some irresponsible batting from them and some brilliant bowling from the defending champions Mumbai Indians.
With 11 runs needed off the last over, Deepak Hooda hit a six off the first ball and brought the equation down to five runs off five balls. Mumbai took it to the last ball with one run needed for a win and fortunately for them, Billy Stanlake was on strike. Stanlake surprised everyone by hitting a boundary and pulled off a thrilling win for his team and also registered his highest score in any form of cricket.
Going into the match against Kolkata, Sunrisers are likely to welcome back their star pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who missed the last match due to a sore back. Kolkata, on the other hand, are without their under-19 pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti, who was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury.
Let us take a look at how both these teams will line up for tonight’s game.

IPL 2018 KKR vs SRH 8th Match Prediction
The Sunrisers’ bowling line-up is easily the best in the tournament and the Kolkata batsmen have to play out of their skin to post a good total. But, the same cannot be said of their batting line-up as it looks fragile. If the Knight Riders manage to make some early inroads, they will have a fair chance of registering their second win of the season. The hosts have a good record at home and in all likelihood, they will continue their record in tonight’s game as well.
